Junior League of San Joaquin County is an organization of women
committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of
women and improving the community through the effective action and
leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively
educational and charitable.
The Junior League of San Joaquin County's active, provisional and
sustaining members all share a commitment to community and
voluntarism. The funds used to support our projects and programs
come from League-sponsored fundraisers. The Junior League of San
Joaquin County is dedicated to addressing critical community needs.
We have proudly distributed over 2.2 million dollars to our
community since 1927.
Currently the Junior League of San Joaquin County has chosen to
focus its financial and volunteer efforts in the areas of literacy,
homelessness and child abuse prevention. Therefore all requests for
funding or project assistance must be geared towards these issues.
If
your agency is interested in applying for a grant,
please submit the attached letter of intent by noon on October
15,2011 to the email below. If mailed, please send to Yvonne Hall,
Community Service Grant Funding Chair, Junior League of San Joaquin
County, PO Box 7363, Stockton CA 95267.
Members of our committee will be reviewing letters of intent and
contacting agencies by November 1, 2011 to let them know whether or
not they have been selected to submit a formal grant application
(due November 21, 2011). New agencies may be asked to make a
presentation to the committee in January 2012. The review process
will be completed by the end of February 2012. Agencies will be
notified of our decision and funding will be made available in
April 2012.
